Readiness methodology
A transparent planning baseline.
The score organises information you provide. It explains gaps and progress without claiming to predict every emergency.
A readiness score is a planning snapshot. It combines recorded preparation into an understandable baseline and highlights what may deserve attention next.
What the baseline uses
Supplies
Food, water and other consumable coverage against the selected household target.
Emergency kit
Essential equipment, condition, location and completeness for its intended purpose.
Family plan
Contacts, meeting places, communication decisions, routes and household needs.
Skills
Completed learning, review and scenario practice across relevant categories.
Household targets
Targets should separate daily household need, the number of days being planned for and any extra reserve. Individual needs, pets, heat, illness and local guidance can increase the result.
Safety boundaries
The score is not a guarantee of safety, a medical assessment or an emergency instruction. In an emergency, contact local services and follow official guidance.
Primary guidance
Change control
Material calculation changes should be versioned, tested and explained. Recorded inventory should never be altered when a target or calculation policy changes.
